Port Blair

Andaman Water Sports

In the proximity of cellular Jail, you can see Andaman Water Sports Complex in the Port Blair city. Samudrika Marine Museum

Located in Delanipur (Andaman), Samudrika Marine Museum is a museum run by the Indian Navy. This museum was incepted with the aim to generate awareness among the visitors about the marine ecology.

Cellular Jail

This Jail is considered one of the finest places to visit in Andaman & Nicobar Islands. This Jail reminisces of those people, who sacrificed their lives in the Indian Freedom Struggle. Situated at Aberdeen near Port Blair city, this jail was built in the year 1886. Here is also an execution room, where the freedom fighters were hanged by the Englishmen. Nowadays, the light and sound show, here, draws thousands of eyeballs in a couple of seconds. Moreover, Martyr’s memorial, a gallery and a museum are the other important places visited by the vacationers.

Mount Harriet

Named after a famous naturalist and photographer – Harriet Tytler, Mount Harriet is the third highest peak in Andaman & Nicobar Islands. This peak is acknowledged a lot for its serene looks and tranquility. If you are also planning to visit here once, then take a ferry or taxi from Chatnam wharf to Bamboo flat. On the highest point of this peak, we can see a marvelous view of Port Blair city, the Ross Island and the Havelock Island. This peak is stationed at a distance of 55 KMs (via Road) and 15 KMs (via Ferry) from the capital city. If you wish to stay overnight here, special permission from Warden would be required.

Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park

Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park is also known as Wandoor Marine National Park. This park is presents a beautiful display of Marine Life of the entire island. This park is also counted among one of the finest places for Scuba Diving.

North Bay

North Bay (Coral) Island is well-known for an exciting display of corals and marine ecology. You can board the ferry from Rajiv Gandhi Water Sports Complex jetty to reach Port Blair city. With this, you can also register yourself for Snorkeling and have an unseen view of coral ecology under the water.

Gandhi park

In the middle of Port Blair, Gandhi Park a beautiful park in Andaman & Nicobar Islands. If you wish to experience a perfect amalgamation of natural brilliance, artificial creations and history, Gandhi Park is the name to look upon. Japanese Temple and a bunker, both constructed during World War II are two added attractions to this place. Recently, a children park has been constructed here.

Viper Jail

Chatham Saw Mill

Havelock & Neil Islands

Havelock Island

Largely inhabited by Bengalese, Havelock Island is one of the most famous islands in the entire archipelago. All the villages in this island are identified by numbers. Middle Andaman

Rangat

Hawksbill Nest, the Guest House of the Directorate of Tourism is Another Added Attraction to this Place. There is a Turtle Sanctuary in Close Vicinity to the Beach.

Amkunj Beach

Amkunj Beach is a renowned sandy beach, located 8 KMs far from Rangat, when moving towards Cutbert Bay. Be it swimming or sun bathing, you can relax on this beach in any manner you want. Moreover, Snorkeling has also come out as a popular water sport here.

Rampur Beach slumps at the borders of Mayabunder town. Karmatang Beach on the other hand comes before Mayabunder. The beach is surrounded by coconut plantations and rock outcrops and that is why it is very difficult to see the beach from the road passage to Mayabunder. The water in the beach is very clean and gives rise to smooth waves. The sparkling sand near the shore feels soft and the place looks fascinating throughout the year. In comparison to Karmatang Beach, Rampur Beach is smaller and has few shades. One can see the beach from the road itself and one can also spend joyful hours walking in the nearby mangrove forests.

North Andaman

Mud Volcano
